For the first time in more than a year, the price of Brent has crossed the 60 dollar mark. Oil demand is likely to pick up as the global economy recovers.

On Monday, Brent crude oil rose 1.26% to $60.19, the highest since January 2020. In the wake of markets that are welcoming Covid-19 vaccination campaigns and promises of a new American economic support plan, oil is maintaining its ascent.
Brent has been trading below the symbolic bar since February 20, 2020. In April, it fell to $15.98 per barrel, a price that has not been seen in more than twenty years, when its American equivalent, West Texas Intermediate (WTI), was trading at a negative price
