The General Directorate of Treasury and Public Accounting of Côte d'Ivoire was on the financial market of the West African Monetary Union (UMOA). On Tuesday, February 2, 2021, the country raised a sum of 71.5 billion FCFA. The issuer has put up for auction a total of 65 billion FCFA. At the end of the operation, he ended up with 120.259 billion FCFA in global bids made by investors, representing a coverage rate of 185.01% of the auctioned amount.
The public treasury of Côte d'Ivoire withheld 71,500 billion FCFA from the amount of the tenders and rejected the remaining 48.759 billion FCFA, representing an absorption rate of 59.46%.
The simultaneous issuance by auction of equivalent treasury bonds (BAT) has a maturity of 182 days and of equivalent treasury bonds (OAT) with a maturity of 3 years. The resources selected are intended to ensure the coverage of the financing needs of the State budget of Côte d'Ivoire.
The weighted average return was 3.01% for BAT. As for the weighted average rate and the marginal rate, they are 2.96% and 3.00% respectively. The vouchers issued, on the other hand, will be refunded on the first business day following the due date of August 3, 2021. On the other hand, interest is payable in advance and deducted from the nominal value of the vouchers, which is one million FCFA.
The weighted average return on 3-year OATs was 5.82%. The weighted average price and the marginal price are 9915 and 9910 respectively. Securities will be redeemed on the first business day following the due date of February 3, 2024. The annual interest rate is 5.50%
