During the first quarter of 2021, the eight member countries of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA) will march on the money market. They will mobilize a total of 1,611 billion CFA francs (2.45 billion euros). From January to March, Côte d'Ivoire will make a total of 16 trips to the regional market. It will mobilize 480 billion CFA francs, or nearly 30% of the total amount. Mali will make 11 exits to raise 40 billion CFA francs in January, 80 billion in February and another 40 billion in March, for a total of 235 billion CFA francs. The smallest issue comes from Guinea-Bissau. It plans to raise 26 billion CFA francs for 3 releases,.
In February, seven countries, led by Côte d'Ivoire, will borrow a total of 690 billion CFA francs. During the months of January and March, respectively, 541 and 380 billion CFA francs will be mobilized by the states.
