The Financial Afrik Awards took place on December 17, 2020 in Dakar in a hybrid mode (face-to-face and virtual). The event, which was also held in restricted mode due to the Covid-19 pandemic, was an opportunity to celebrate the 100 personalities who are transforming Africa, from North to South, and to award trophies to the best operators and institutional decision-makers.

Among the personalities present at the Financial Afrik Awards were the economist and former Prime Minister of Benin, Lionel Zinsou, founding president of SouthBridge Bank, Ismaël Dem, Special Adviser to the Governor of the Central Bank of West African States (BCEAO) and Mrs. Reckya Madougou, former Minister of Justice of Benin, international expert in financial inclusion policies and keynote speaker of the Condé Rence. On a tour to promote her new book, “Healing certainty, a dialectic of inclusion and the minimum in Africa”, Ms. Madougou framed the debate on her main theme “Covid-19, accelerator of the fourth industrial revolution”.
