The signing of this memorandum aims to carry out joint activities to promote the regional financial market of UEMOA to international investors, particularly Americans, to raise awareness among member companies of Amcham-ci of the opportunities offered by the Brvm and to carry out actions development of the stock market to support the economies of the UEMOA countries.

The Director General of the Brvm and the DC/BR, Dr Edoh Kossi Amenounve, welcoming the signing of this memorandum, stressed that it is part of "the development actions undertaken by the Brvm for several years in order to weave strategic partnerships with several organizations in order to promote the opportunities it offers both to issuers and investors”.

In other words, the Brvm is working to attract more American investors to its market and this partnership with Amcham will contribute effectively to this. "As part of this memorandum of understanding, the Brvm has already made stock market data available to Amcham-ci in digital form and on an ongoing basis, in order to feed the Amcham-ci website. and the newsletters distributed to international investors, particularly Americans,” explained Dr. Edoh Kossi.

For Yohannes Mekbebe, president of the American Chamber of Commerce in Côte d'Ivoire, the main challenge of his mandate is to mark the American presence in the Ivorian economic fabric.

This is why, as soon as he took office, his priority action was to establish a framework for collaboration with the Brvm following the identification of the needs expressed by American investors in terms of information on the Brvm.

"With this new collaborative framework, we would like to be able to guide American investors who contact us and also present information to them via our website, which will display stock market values every day in order to provide them with provision of a daily report on the regional stock market,” he says.
