The Minister of Finance, Aymane Benabderrahmane, called, during his participation, by videoconference, in the annual meetings of the African Development Bank Group (AfDB), held on August 26 and 27, for the strengthening of institutional and organizational capacities. form the bank.

The Minister, who was speaking as Governor of Algeria to this regional institution, welcomed, during his speech in the context of the governors' dialogue, the "commendable efforts of the AfDB towards Africa" in reiterating "Algeria's support for this institution, as a key player for the development of the African continent", indicates a press release from the ministry.

The official opening of the AfDB's 2020 annual meeting was ensured by Alassane Ouattara, President of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire, the country currently chairing the Board of Governors of the Bank Group.
