In a letter sent to the press, Famara Cissé of Acsif, an association which campaigns to preserve the interests of bank customers, exposes the famous "overdraft", and demonstrates how what was supposed to help out, plunges the customer into a abyss of poverty and over-indebtedness.

In this context marked by the advent of Covid-19, ACSIF had very early on alerted and requested the state authorities to postpone credit maturities allowing users of financial institutions to deal effectively with the disease. And, faced with this strong humanitarian demand, the state authorities had, through a press release dated April 15, 2020, granted ACSIF's request.
