The head of state of Côte d'Ivoire, Alassane Ouattara, called on March 23 for the union of all the country's forces in the fight against Covid-19.
Faced with this invitation, Ecobank Côte d'Ivoire has, this Wednesday, April 1, offered the Ministry of Health and Public Hygiene protection including respirators, thermometers, gloves and masks.
“As a corporate citizen, concerned about the well-being of the population, our Institution could not remain on the sidelines of this outpouring of solidarity around the Government in this fight against the pandemic” declared Paul-Harry AITHNARD, the Director General.
This financial establishment has announced that it will participate in the rehabilitation of isolation centers which will accommodate sick people in the days to come. And support the development of telemedicine by purchasing equipment recommended by the WHO. All these actions were valued at 60 million FCFA.
The Managing Director of Ecobank also announced an initiative of the employees of the institution which launched a voluntary collection of funds. The sums collected will be used to help care for people infected with Covid-19.
"It is by combining our efforts that we will succeed in defeating this pandemic together" concluded Paul-Harry AITHNARD while urging the population to strictly respect the preventive measures recommended by the Government.
