Competition is increasing in the telecommunications market in Côte d'Ivoire to provide better internet services to the population. The Vivendi Africa Group, GVA, launched CanalBox, its “very high speed” internet solution for the general public, on Tuesday March 10 in Abidjan.
With its fiber optic network to the home, this new operator claims to guarantee its future subscribers “unequaled quality of service at an affordable price”, through an unlimited connection and a speed of up to 50 Megabits per second.
For Marco DE Assis, President of GVA Côte d'Ivoire, “access to high speed broadband for all is a key factor in economic and social development. We therefore intend to contribute to reducing the digital divide in the country”.
This solution, already available in the municipality of Marcory, will gradually be deployed in the Ivorian economic capital. The CanalBox offers for family use and CanalBox Pro for businesses are thus revolutionizing the market with a view to promoting Internet access for all.
