In 2013, MAROCLEAR was one of the first financial institutions in Morocco to obtain certification of its Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) – ISO 27001, for all of its activities.

After 2016, the Central Depository successfully renewed this certification in 2019, following audits conducted by Bureau Veritas.

As a market infrastructure of systemic importance, MAROCLEAR thus affirms its desire to continuously comply with the most demanding norms and standards, in all areas, in particular those relating to information security.

Maintaining the ISO 27001 international standard is an additional assurance for MAROCLEAR, enabling it to support the development of the Moroccan market favorably and to contribute to making Casablanca a regional financial hub.

The renewal of this certification also rewards the efforts made by the top management and the teams of MAROCLEAR to guarantee the highest degree of security to its information assets and to give the Place de Casablanca the necessary level of confidence.

ABOUT MAROCLEAR
MAROCLEAR is the Central Securities Depository in Morocco. It was created in 1997 under law n°35-96 of 09/01/1997.

On behalf of its affiliates, MAROCLEAR is responsible for ensuring the dematerialization of titles and their custody. It also manages the settlement/delivery system which allows the settlement of transactions, as well as the administration of all events related to the life of a security.

MAROCLEAR is governed by General Regulations, approved by the Minister in charge of Finance (Order No. 932.98 of April 16, 1998). It is under the supervision of the Ministry of Finance and subject to the control of the AMMC (Moroccan Capital Market Authority) and Bank Al-Maghrib.
