The bonds issued by the Banque de l'Habitat du Senegal (BHS) in July 2019 and intended for the diaspora have
admitted to
BRVM listing on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 during a ceremony in Dakar.
For a sought amount of 20 billion, the operation was closed with a subscription rate of 114%.
This operation saw the participation of the African diaspora from 26 countries to the tune of 43.37%, i.e. a
subscribed amount of 8,674,500,000 CFA francs.
Admission of these bonds to
BRVM listing ensures their liquidity and brings to 58 the number of
bond lines for a capitalization at the end of the ceremony of 4135.58 billion.

In his speech, the Managing Director of BHS, Mr. Mamadou Bocar SY, underlined
the importance of this operation for his institution, which has risen to the challenge of being its pioneer. It also
indicated that the resources raised will be used to finance the social housing program in Senegal, which is one
priorities of the Emerging Senegal Plan.
The CEO of the
BRVM , Dr. Edoh Kossi AMENOUNVE, noted the key role that his institution played in the
structuring and carrying out this operation as one of the actions identified in the report on
improving the financing of WAEMU economies adopted in 2012. He was delighted with the very
innovative and historic operation that will undoubtedly inspire other issuers as well as other places
finance in Africa.
He took the opportunity to thank the Management and Intermediation Companies (ABCO Bourse, CGF Bourse,
Everest Finance and Impaxis Securities) for their commitment and promotional efforts
in order to attract the resources of the African diaspora in general and that of Senegal in particular.
The ceremony ended with the presentation of commemorative plaques to the issuer and to the leading SGIs of
the operation.
