Senegal has signed three new agreements worth more than CFAF 233 billion with the Islamic Development Bank (IDB). These agreements will mainly concern the Dakar/Tivaouane/Saint Louis highway projects, phase 2 of the Diamniadio-AIBD TER and the construction of a commercial and residential Waqf complex for the benefit of Daara.

These agreements were signed in the presence of the ministerial departments concerned, notably Infrastructure, Land Transport and Opening and Economy, in the presence of the President of the IDB Group, Muhammad Sulaiman Al-Jasser. Ultimately, the projects should contribute to the objectives of the Emerging Senegal Plan, notably the opening up of agricultural areas in the North, the resolution of urban and interurban mobility problems between Dakar and the regional capitals, and the modernization of daaras.
