As part of the promotion of Japanese investments in Africa, the 8th edition of the Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 8) will take place on August 27 and 28 in Tunis.

All African countries are invited to the 8th edition of the Tokyo International Conference on African Development, which is being held for the second time on their continent, after the one organized in Kenya in 2016. This edition will take place around three pillars: Economy, Peace and Stability, and Society. This involves discussing the promotion of business, the green economy, respect for the environment, the African continental free trade area, the financing of markets, the construction of a resilient economy, the ways and means to prevent conflicts, to establish democracy on the continent as well as the empowerment of Africa and to discuss, among other things, human security in Africa, the situation of the Covid-19 pandemic.
