The meeting will take place at the Abdou-Diouf de Diamniadio International Conference Center (CICAD), "under the chairmanship of the Senegalese Head of State, Macky Sall".
It will be preceded by a meeting of UEMOA experts, scheduled for Wednesday at 9 a.m., at the Ndiambour hotel in Dakar, according to the press release.
After the experts, ministers from the member countries of the sub-regional organization will meet on Thursday at the Radisson Blu in the Senegalese capital.
The press release recalls that the WAEMU Heads of State and Government decided, on May 30, 2011, in Lomé (Togo), to make peace and security issues "a major project, following an in-depth analysis of the politico-security situation in the West African space".
"In order to deepen the reflection, the Heads of State and Government of the UEMOA space created the High Level Committee on Peace and Security, on June 6, 2012, in the Togolese capital, and entrusted its presidency to Macky Sall, President of the Republic of Senegal", adds the same source.
This body of the Union brings together the Ministers responsible for Foreign Affairs, Security and Finance of the Member States.
The presidents of the WAEMU Commission, the West African Development Bank, the WAEMU Interparliamentary Committee and the Governor of the Central Bank of West African States are also members.
