Since Monday, March 14, 2022, Lomé has hosted the 49th session of the Interparliamentary Committee of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (CIP-UEMOA). On the agenda are several items relating to the functioning and development of the Union in 2021.

The deputies who are members of the CIP-UEMOA are holding their 49th ordinary session of the year devoted to the functioning and development of the Union in 2021. Among other subjects on the agenda of the work of the 49th ordinary session of the Interparliamentary Committee of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (CIP-UEMOA), includes the examination, in sub-committees, of the 2021 report of the UEMOA Commission on the situation of the Union, accompanied by a note of observations of the CIP. It is also planned to validate this note of observations and the questions addressed by the WAEMU parliamentarians, the rereading of the interim and replacement procedure for the president of the CIP of this community space, as well as the updating of the calendar of activities of the IPC for the 2022 financial year.
