The British pound and the yen are displayed this Friday, March 11, 2022, at record levels of weakness against the dollar in great shape.

As the US dollar benefits from the prospect of monetary policy tightening from the US Federal Reserve (Fed) next week, the British pound and the yen hit multi-year lows. Around 10:10 a.m. GMT (11:10 a.m. in Paris), the yen lost 0.63% against the dollar at 116.87 yen, after having crossed the 117 yen mark for the dollar earlier in the session for the first time since 2017, while the British pound (-0.08% to 1.3075 dollars for one pound) had fallen to its lowest since November 2020 at 1.3051 dollars.
