Richard Muyej Mangeze Mans is accused of "embezzlement" of public funds in Lualaba. The Provincial Assembly of Lualaba filed, Saturday, February 26, a complaint against this deposed governor of the province.

Richard Muyej Mangeze Mans allegedly embezzled an amount of more than 50 million USD and despoiled real estate properties in the province. Charged by Louis KAMWENYI THUMBU, president of the Provincial Assembly of Lualaba, Mpela Lohongo, lawyer at the bar of Kinshasa/Matete notes in the complaint to the Court of Cassation the following grievances: embezzlement of a sum of 2,100,000 USD intended for maintenance of the workshop for road construction machinery in the provinces, loan contracted from the TMA bank without prior authorization from the Provincial Assembly; embezzlement of a sum of 25,000,0005USD, money intended for the agricultural project of the province and a loan contracted with the Afriland bank for which Richard Muyej was authorized but which was not fully used for this cause.

We also note the embezzlement of a sum of $25,000,000, an amount intended for the construction of the Kolwezi air terminal, a loan obtained from Equity Bank which, according to the plaintiff, yielded no tangible results. The provincial assembly of Lualaba also accuses Muyej of having despoiled the various real estate properties of the province and of having made expenses by bank and cash register not covered by the supporting documents.
