The 20th Ordinary Session of the Conference of Heads of State and Government of UEMOA was held on Saturday February 5 under the chairmanship of Alassane OUTTARA, current President of the said conference. On the occasion, the new president of the African Union (AU), the Senegalese head of state Macky Sall, affirmed that Africa is “more than ever determined to take its destiny into its own hands”.

West African leaders discussed the acceleration of the regional integration process and the respect of economic convergence criteria. President Macky Sall of Senegal took the opportunity to take up health, security, economic, social and climate challenges.
