Under the finance law, budget 2022, Togo devotes 507.8 billion FCFA to social programs. The 2022 budget is balanced in resources and expenses at 1,779.2 billion CFA francs.

In terms of expenditure and resources, the new budget is estimated at 1,779.2 billion CFA francs against 1,702.9 billion CFA francs in 2021, an increase of 4.5%. The country's treasurer points out that "Budgetary revenue stands at 1,070.9 billion CFA francs against 915.6 billion CFA francs in 2021, an increase of 17% while budgetary expenditure increases from 1,219.3 billion CFA francs in 2021 to 1,330 billion CFA francs in 2022, an increase of 9.1%”. Priorities in this budget are health, education, transport, security, the economy and fishing, agriculture, the digital economy, trade, industries, justice and leisure and sports.
