The Director of Computing and Technological Traces (DITT) at the Ministry of the Interior and Security, Colonel Moussa Guelpetchin Ouattara revealed on Tuesday December 21, 2021 that the platform for the fight against cybercrime (PLCC) processes an average of 4 500 to 5,000 complaints per year.

On the occasion of "Tout Savoir Sur", a framework for weekly discussions between journalists, civil society actors and a public administration authority, initiated by the Government Information and Communication Center (CICG), Colonel Moussa Guelpetchin Ouattara took stock of the actions of the PLCC. He indicated that this structure handled 5,000 cases in 2021 compared to 150 in 2011. “The platform for the fight against cybercrime (PLCC) handles between 4,500 and 5,000 complaints per year. These complaints are usually 50% resolved. That's a very high resolution ratio when you compare it to police departments around the world,” he said. Similarly, the PLCC organizes meetings with civil society, in particular with community and religious leaders. For the awareness component, 25,000 pupils and students are made aware of the harmful effects of cybercrime each year.
