Afrique finance alternative (AFA) initiated a forum on the securitization of receivables and financing of the economy. Organized on Thursday, December 02, 2021 in Abidjan, the meeting made it possible to raise awareness among economic operators on this method of financing the market.

The forum on securitization in the WAEMU zone aims to promote the technique, encourage exchanges and thus accelerate the realization of large-scale operations. It was a question of positioning the technique at the heart of the strategy of the banking sector, microfinance institutions, States and public companies as well as commercial enterprises of all sizes in order to provide them with an alternative to available market solutions. Securitization is so-called alternative financing which makes it possible to raise financing on the financial market through the sale of a debt portfolio. However, the financial technique of debt securitization remains unknown and recognized at the level of the regional financial market.
