Organized crime is considered to be on the decline in Côte d'Ivoire, but is increasing slightly in Cameroon. According to the most recent edition of the comparative analysis on organized crime in Africa published on November 25 by the organization called ENACT, the evolution of organized crime has progressed differently depending on whether one is in Côte d'Ivoire or in Cameroon.

The extent of organized crime in a country depends on autonomous factors, as shown by the short comparison of the situation in Côte d'Ivoire and Cameroon, two countries that present almost similar characteristics. According to the study, the index shows for Cameroon an increase of 0.33 point while in Côte d'Ivoire, it is down by 0.08 point. On the continental ranking, Cameroon (10th) remains ahead of Côte d'Ivoire (11th) in terms of the organized crime index. In the detail of the indicators, the two countries are neck and neck in terms of the different analysis grids. However, although Cameroon is the scene of several armed conflicts within it, arms sales are considered to be more important in Côte d'Ivoire.
