The Bank of Central African States (BEAC) has launched a recruitment process for a consultant with a view to setting up a database for the Inter-African Conference on Insurance Markets (CIMA). The initiative aims to support the promotion of transparency in the insurance sector.

The project comes in support of an experimental version developed internally by CIMA, an additional module of the digital platform for collecting market data (PFN) intended for monitoring control and scoring of dedicated companies. In view of the market development prospects and the objectives of modernizing the activity, the regulator of the insurance sector in Central and West Africa intends to consolidate the achievements of the pilot phase to optimize the said technological solution with a view to the digitization of the control process of insurance companies. On the basis of the specifications, the mission of the consultant will essentially consist in finalizing the development of this module whose expected functionalities are the geolocation and the planning of the controls, the management of the control reports and the consultations and alerts.
