The launch of the Honey initiative in Benin, on July 13, 2021, at CCI BENIN was an opportunity for the consular office to make a commitment to report as the various phases of the project are completed. relating to the choice of Honey speculation. This has therefore been done through today's workshop, which completes the phase of identifying the challenges, which has enabled the involvement of companies and institutions in the beekeeping sector, a mapping of the stakeholders and an understanding of the different professions in the value chain. Honey in Benin is a production of 420 tonnes, produced by 5,565 beekeepers, 2,629 of whom come from the Atacora department alone. Statistics that justify the design of the clustering strategy, led by CCI BENIN with the support of technical and financial partners, around a triple ambition, namely support for the agricultural development of our country through beekeeping, strengthening the competitiveness of the beekeeping sector in Benin and strengthening the professionalization of beekeeping in our country.
