The preparatory work for the 2022 Management budget started on Monday, November 08, 2021 at the National Assembly of Benin. Thus, until December 9, 2021, ministers, heads of non-state structures and citizen watch will parade in front of deputies.

The marathon race of ministers, state institutions, trade union centers and other structures that feature in the 2022 State Budget Finance Bill has started. According to the words of the President of the Finance Committee of the National Assembly Gérard Gbénonchi, the vote on the budget will probably be for December 9, 2021.

The chairman of the Finance Committee Gérard Gbénonchi affirmed that “at the end of this preparatory work”, he thinks that “the deputies will have enough material to be able to formulate their amendments”. He specified that the deputies will transmit these amendments to the government, “when from the 10th (November 2021), the government will begin to parade, starting with the Minister of Economy and Finance.” According to him, the Minister of Finance "will come here to explain the content of the finance bill accompanied by the Minister of State in charge of the Plan."
