Benin's local currency rating goes from A- to A. Three countries of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA) benefit from this rating from Bloomfield Investment Corporation. These are Benin, Senegal and Côte d'Ivoire.

The Bloomfield Investment Corporation agency has just raised the local currency rating of Benin, Senegal and Côte d'Ivoire. Initially, only the last two countries had this rank. But a recent rating by the Bloomfield Investment Corporation agency reveals that Benin has achieved this performance. Its rating goes from A- to A. “Liquidity factors and fundamentals of the companies are healthy. Although ongoing financing needs may increase total financing requirements, access to capital markets is good. The risk factors are minimal,” says the Bloomfield agency. The A local currency rating also reflects negligible default risk in local currency.
