Niger organized from October 1 to 3, 2021 the 5th edition of the 100% ''made in Niger'' fair combined with the 2nd edition of the ''Consumer local'' campaign in the UEMOA space. The objective is to highlight local agro-sylvo-pastoral and fisheries value chains.

The objectives targeted by the ''consume local'' campaign essentially concern the strengthening of sub-regional economic integration and the development of intra-community trade. Placed under the theme ''Promoting local consumption: a contribution to the successful implementation of the ZLECAf'', this activity was co-organized by the ''Made in Niger'' exhibition, 2SCALE, UEMOA and their partners. It aims to promote the production and consumption of local products, improve their processing, and even industrialize the sector. These objectives are perfectly in line with the vision of the Nigerien government, which consists of substituting imports with a supply of national products and services in quantity and quality. The products highlighted during these three days are, among others, millet, rice, corn, potatoes, milk, moringa, spices, honey, fruits and baobab leaves, cassava, etc. .
