The Central Office for Combating Cybercrime has got its hands on four suspected cybercriminals specializing in blackmailing with videos. The latter will be presented to the special prosecutor of the Court for the Suppression of Economic Offences and Terrorism (CRIET) Mario Mètonou

The four alleged cybercriminals managed to remove more than 10 million FCFA from their victims. They are used to reaching out to their victim with adult videos. With these videos, they make victims believe that they are experiencing something real live. So, they crack and get naked. The four suspected cybercriminals record everything and become master singers. So they blackmail victims, threatening to broadcast everything if the victims don't give them a lot of money. They managed to extract funds from many Senegalese, Ivorian and American victims. Their loot is estimated at nearly 10 million CFA francs
