As part of the fight against insecurity in Burkina Faso, the Central Brigade for the Fight against Cybercrime has arrested a cyber crook.

The Central Cybercrime Brigade has caught a "cyber crook". More than six million CFA francs, a 55-inch SAMSUNG Smart brand television, a HONDA brand moped, a 7.65 mm caliber firearm, one (01) HP PROBOOK brand computer, two (02) USB keys , a DM HD001 hard drive, three (03) mobile phones including two SAMSUNG brand and one IPhone 11 Pro brand, two (02) Burkinabe national identity cards, Five (05) bank cards, Five (05) bank, and one hundred and sixty (160) euros, were seized by the Central Brigade for the Fight Against Cybercrime from the hands of this cyber crook. His arrest follows multiple complaints from victims registered through the Investigations Division. He had specialized in fraud via electronic means of communication and particularly the scam relating to the sale of digital currencies, identity theft, counterfeiting and money laundering. The current damage caused by this cyber crook amounts to more than ten million (10,000,000) CFA francs.
