The Economic and Social Council (CES) opened its second ordinary session for the year 2021 on Tuesday, September 28, 2021. Several items are on the agenda for this session, which ends on October 27, 2021.

The Economic and Social Council (CES/ 6th term) chaired by Tabé Gbian has been devoting its ^{2nd ordinary} session of 2021 since yesterday, September 28, to the study of the general budget of the State, management 2022. Recalling that under the terms provisions of the Constitution of Benin, the draft programs of an economic and social nature must be submitted to the CES for opinion, Tabé Gbian specified that the study of the draft budget for the 2022 financial year of the State will be organized both in commissions and in plenary assembly for the purpose of approving both the budgetary guidelines for 2022 and the content of the draft budget itself. At this session, the Minister of Economy and Finance, Romuald Wadagni is expected to present to the Councilors the draft general state budget, management 2022.

Beyond that, during this session which covers a month, the CES Advisers will have, according to President Tabé Gbian, to study certain self-referral subjects on themes such as: "the production of shea nuts in Benin : issues and perspectives”; “The problem of climate change: what courses of action for a climate transition for the benefit of Beninese citizens? » ; “Social policies in Benin: what strategies for a more remarkable impact on the populations? ". In addition, tourism opportunities will be presented on the occasion and through the theme "tourism, a development base for Benin: opportunities, constraints and prospects".
