Before the German legislative elections, the euro remained stable against the dollar this Friday, September 24, 2021. In this climate, traders are turning to the legislative elections which will be held on Sunday.

Around 09:05 GMT (11:05 CET), the euro lost some 0.03% to 1.1735 dollars for one euro. The British pound, for its part, stabilized (-0.02% to 85.57 pence against the euro, -0.05% to 1.3713 dollars for one pound against the greenback) after gaining 0, 7% against the dollar the day before. The Chinese Yuan down with Evergrande while the safe-haven Yen held up. Investors seek to protect themselves from a possible failure of the Chinese company Evergrande. The yuan settled at 6.4760 to the dollar after weakening to 6.4880 on Monday for the first time since Aug. 23. The New Zealand dollar also fell after the central bank's deputy governor threw cold water on expectations of a 50 basis point rate hike next month. The Euro Swiss Franc posted a bearish engulfing candlestick yesterday.
