Advocating "zero tolerance" for law enforcement corruption in the country, General Ange Kessi, the government commissioner in charge of prosecuting military personnel who have broken the law, told AFP: "we will no longer tolerate certain things. We are now going to enter the phase of punishment and repression, as soon as the judicial year begins. The military court has already scheduled the trial of 43 police officers and gendarmes for racketeering on the roads. This trial will be held within the framework of the operations "coup de poing" against corruption in the public services, launched in recent months by the Ministry for the Promotion of Good Governance and the Fight against Corruption.
