The Prime Minister, Head of Government, Ouhoumoudou Mahamadou received in his Cabinet a delegation from ECOWAS and the Ambassador of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire to Niger. Several points were on the agenda this Friday, September 10.

Ouhoumoudou Mahamadou successively received a delegation from the ECOWAS Commission led by the Commissioner for Agriculture, Environment and Water Resources at the ECOWAS Commission, Sékou Sangaré and the Ambassador of the Republic of Côte -d'Ivoire with Niger with residence in Burkina-Faso, HE Kapiélétien Soro, at the end of the mission. At the end of the hearing, the Commissioner in charge of Agriculture, Environment and Water Resources welcomed the respect of Niger's commitments to replenish the stock of the regional food security reserve which was available to Niger in 2018 and 2019 to face the challenge of food insecurity following the displacement of civilians but also the context of insecurity and the floods that Niger has experienced. Also, he discussed with the Prime Minister the commitment of ECOWAS not only to deliver the 7,599 tons of cereals that Niger has requested to assist the populations this year.
