The General Directorate of Financial Control of Côte d'Ivoire presented its code of ethics and professional conduct this Thursday, September 2 in Abidjan. This instrument of good governance includes a set of rules of good conduct and practices for all the agents of this administration under the supervision of the Ministry of the Budget and the State Portfolio.

An ethics committee has been set up to ensure compliance with this legal mechanism for a two-year term. He is responsible for carrying out any action aimed at the agents to appropriate the ethical values and the deontological principles, to receive the complaints of the users and the agents who are victims of violation of the provisions of the code of ethics and deontology, to analyze the requests and to carry out any investigation to ensure the veracity of the facts brought to its attention and monitor the implementation of the responses given to the concerns expressed.

"This code of ethics is intended to be a pledge of our management's commitment to the convention of good governance, the fight against corruption and the prevarication of public funds, the fight to set an example for all administrations , of all the agents animating the public administrations”, announces N'da Ange, head of the Financial Control Department.

Representing the Minister of Budget and State Portfolio, Adama Sall, Director of Cabinet, to salute the will of this direction to be a model and modern administration, advocating the highlighting of the values of ethics and professional conduct in the control of the regularity in all these daily actions.

“I express the fervent wish to see the values of the code of ethics become habits, skills and behavior for all the staff of the Financial Control Department. Your mission necessarily calls for the values prescribed by this code that you intend to promote” he specifies.

After this official presentation, an information and awareness campaign will be organized for all the agents of the General Directorate of Financial Control of Côte d'Ivoire, about 800 officials, spread over the whole territory. national. A stage during which copies of this code of ethics will be given to them with the message to act in accordance with it both inside and outside the workplace.
