Around 3:35 p.m. GMT (5:35 p.m. CET), the euro lost 0.14% to 1.1863 dollars. Currency traders had cashed at the end of the previous week the unpleasant surprise of the US employment report for August, with 235,000 jobs created, against 750,000 expected by economists. Investors will turn to the Old Continent on Thursday, where the European Central Bank will share the outcome of its latest monetary policy meeting. According to Jane Foley, analyst at Rabobank, there is speculation that the ECB could announce a reduction in the pace of its asset purchase program.
