In virtual mode, the Minister of Digital Economy, Posts and Digital Transformation, Hadja Ouattara / Sanon, chaired, on Tuesday August 24, 2021 in Ouagadougou, on behalf of the Prime Minister, the 7th edition of the Training of Trainers governance of the internet and information systems (FFGI). Organized by the NGO Initiative TIC et Citoyenneté (ITICC), this meeting is held until August 28th.

A hundred trainees selected in 13 African countries among 417 candidates take part in the training. They are essentially decision-makers involved in the formulation of policies for the development of the digital economy, technicians in the field, actors from the private sector and civil society. The ultimate objective of the training is to create a critical mass of experts knowledgeable in internet governance issues in order to meet the challenge of Africa's participation in the decision-making and formatting bodies of the internet. According to Hadja Ouattara, the training contributes to achieving the vision of heads of state, which is to appropriate digital technology to accelerate economic and social development. She recalled in her speech the cooperation between Burkina and Smart Africa for the establishment of a Task Force on Internet governance.
