This three-day meeting, initiated by the NGO “Challenge International” and its partners, was sponsored by the Ministry of Environment and Forest Resources
.Under the theme of reflection, “Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals through International Solidarity”, the African SDG School is a development learning process, based on the SDGs and a framework for sharing best practices and successful experiences in implementing the SDGs at the level international for local development. The objective of this meeting was to make participants understand the 17 sustainable development goals, to meet, share and learn from foreign stakeholders, to offer young people the opportunity to exchange opinions and to provide suggestions that could contribute to the definition and identification of priorities inherent in sustainable development at the local level. The meeting was also an opportunity to seek support for civil society organizations to monitor the implementation of projects and programmes within the framework of the localization of the SDGs, to set up an advocacy strategy for the SDGs and the African Union's Agenda 2063, and to engage and act locally by initiating actions around the achievement of the
SDGs.
