The President of the National Anti-Corruption Commission (CONAC) organized a press conference on August 18, 2021 at the Deïdo bilingual high school in Douala as part of the fight against corruption. On the occasion, he officially launched the hostilities of the campaign "Back to school 2021/2022 without corruption".

The main activities of this campaign are: "sensitizing the educational community to integrity and putting up anti-corruption posters and plaques in schools in the ten regions of the country", specifies the daily Cameroon Tribune on newsstands this 19 August 2021. The main causes of corruption in the education sector include: coining of recruitments, promotions, assignments, ratings and appointments, sexual harassment, sale of proofs, false certifications, tampering and reduction of ages, cheating, poor management of APEE fees. This leads to “skepticism about the validity of results, quality of performance etc. and as a corollary, the production in the long term of a mediocre elite capable of mortgaging the development of the country”, one can read.
