The 19 alleged cybercriminals were arrested during two interventions on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, in the districts of the commune of Sèmè-Podji. These apprehended individuals will be presented to the Prosecutor in the coming days.

The first intervention was carried out by the Aglangandan district police station and allowed the agents to catch 06 alleged cyber criminals, while the second operation resulted in 13 arrests in the Glogbo district. In the homes of the first six, 13 laptops, 10 phones (08 android and 02 touchtone), 03 WiFi modems, 07 bank cards, 14 sim cards of different networks and other accessories were found. The second intervention was a search of the homes of the 13 other alleged cybercriminals. At the scene, the agents discovered 09 laptops, 17 cell phones including 11 Android and 6 touchtone, 02 WiFi modems, 09 bank cards and an amount of twenty-six thousand (26 000 Naïras) and eleven thousand two hundred and fifty (11 250 FCFA).
