Deputies and Senators met on Monday, August 16, 2021 in Brazzaville, around a workshop to raise awareness and combat money laundering and terrorist financing. The workshop was organized by the National Agency for Financial Investigation (ANIF)

Chaired by the Minister of Finance, Budget and Public Portfolio, Rigobert Roger Andely, the meeting benefits from the technical support of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Terrorism (UNODC). Thus, experts from the National Financial Investigation Agency will advise parliamentarians on the evils of money laundering, terrorist financing and the proliferation of small arms. Awareness-raising will be followed by a training seminar scheduled for 16 to 19 August for authorities specializing in investigation and prosecution, as well as those responsible for enforcing the relevant law concerning money laundering, the financing of terrorism and the proliferation of mass weapons.
