The first editions of the "Perspectives de développement en Afrique de l'Ouest" (PDAO), and of the quarterly bulletin called "Rendez-vous" were officially launched under the auspices of George Agyekum Donkor, President of the bank and Chairman of the Board of administration.
The launch of the Bank's knowledge tools aims to strengthen the debate on the socio-economic situation of the sub-region, to inform and bring value to ECOWAS Member States. It is also a question of making the Bank known not only as a development finance institution (Ifd), but also as a knowledge institution, the best suited to support Member States in the post-Covid-19 transformation agenda. These tools were initiated in line with the Bank's Strategy 2025 (the Strategic Plan 2021-2025). More specifically, Strategy 2025 foresees the annual publication of a socio-economic report and publications on traditional and digital communication platforms covering topical issues affecting Member States, from 2021, within the framework of the strategy. visibility of the Bank.
According to President George Agyekum Donkor, the Pdao is an annual publication on the socio-economic indicators of the sub-region. According to him, the document reports on the performance and prospects at the national and sub-regional level, with recommendations on how we can meet some of the development challenges of our sub-region in the short and medium term. Le Rendez-vous, for its part, explains the President, is a quarterly information bulletin (in paper format and available online) from the Bank. It aims to bring visibility to the Bank by providing relevant information on its activities. It is also a platform for sharing development content to engage stakeholders.
