The President of the Council of Territorial Collectivities of WAEMU, François A. Amichia, was received in audience, this Monday, August 2, 2021 in Ouagadougou, by the French Ambassador to Burkina, Luc Hallade, and the acting deputy director of Swiss Cooperation, Thomas Piras. The opportunity for François A. Amichia to take stock of the various cooperation activities with technical and financial partners.

The Chairman of the Council of Local Authorities, François A. Amichia was received in audience by the French Ambassador, Luc Hallade, and the Swiss Cooperation in Burkina as part of a mission of exchanges and consultation of the Council of Local Authorities UEMOA Territorial Committees which will be held on August 2 and 4, 2021 in Ouagadougou. With Swiss Cooperation, the President of the Council of Local Authorities has indicated that it has been supporting its structure in its cross-border program since the first phase, which has come to an end. The acting deputy director of Swiss Cooperation, Thomas Piras, for his part hoped that the achievements of the first phase could be strengthened and that collaboration continue with the CCT in order to best respond to the populations through their local elected representatives. "And the second phase which has just started, we wish to continue it in the excellent spirit of collaboration that we have had until today", he explains.
