In the premises of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Benin (CCI Benin) and by videoconference, the ad'hoc "Lobbying" Commission of the Regional Consular Chamber of Uemoa (CCR-Uemoa) held on Wednesday August 04 2021, its first meeting of the 2021-2024 term. Opportunity to review the points relating to the Terms of Reference (ToR) of the ad hoc Commission and the orientations as well as the priority actions of the current mandate.

Chaired by Arnaud Akakpo, president of the said ad'hoc commission, in the presence of Ibraima Jalo, Vice-president, Louis Speet Amede, Special Advisor to the President of CCR-Uemoa and Kossi Amétépé Gle, Member of the CCR for Togo , the work of this first meeting enabled the participants to examine the Terms of Reference (ToR) of the ad'hoc Commission. The guidelines and priority actions to be implemented during the 2021-2024 term of office have been decided, followed by the validation of certain files. This, in accordance with the mission assigned to the ad'hoc "Lobbying" Commission, during the elective GA of May 31, 2021 in Abidjan: that of establishing partnership relations between the private sector of the Union and the actors economies of the rest of the world and to ensure the mobilization of additional resources.

In his message read by his Special Adviser, Louis Speet Amede, the President of CCR-UEMOA, Daouda Coulibaly, underlined the high expectations regarding the conclusions of the work. To this end, he invited the members of the ad hoc committee to conduct discussions with a view to proposing relevant recommendations to effectively strengthen partnership relations between the private sector of the Union and economic players from the rest of the world. . Consequently, for the ad hoc Commission, it is a question of getting to the heart of dynamic partnerships between private sector players in the Union and those from other horizons.
