At the Bank of Algeria, the national currency continues to plummet against the main currencies. The euro is beginning to recover after several days of decline, while the US dollar has fallen back below the symbolic bar of 135 Algerian dinars.

Between the health crisis and the closing of borders, black market traders are struggling to make their small businesses work. On the official market, the euro rose slightly while the US dollar fell below the 135 Algerian dinars mark. On the black market, the single European currency remains the main currency traded, despite a significant drop it had suffered in recent days. On the side of Square Port-Saïd, only one euro is exchanged by forex traders, today, August 1, 2021, against 206 Algerian dinars for purchase and against 208 Algerian dinars for sale. Regarding the US currency, it is experiencing a certain stability, following a slight increase that it had been able to record in recent days. One US dollar is traded on the parallel market against 179 Algerian dinars for sale and against 177 Algerian dinars for purchase.

A single euro is exchanged today at the Bank of Algeria against 160.03 Algerian dinars and against 160.07 Algerian dinars for sale. Regarding the US currency, a single US dollar is exchanged against 134.52 Algerian dinars for purchase and against 134.54 Algerian dinars for sale. The pound sterling continues its ascent. A single pound is traded on the official market against 187.99 Algerian dinars for purchase and against 188.04 Algerian dinars for sale.
