In Côte d'Ivoire, the Minister of Budget and State Portfolio, Moussa Sanogo launched on Tuesday July 27, 2021 the campaign to control receipts for the payment of state taxes and duties.

According to the Director General of Taxes, Ouattara Sié Abou, this operation will take place throughout the national territory for a period of one month. It aims to ensure that taxpayers who have normally discharged their tax obligations have authentic documents enabling them to assert their rights. "The campaign aims to remind the tax officer of the high scope of his mission and the meaning of his oath (dedication, loyalty and fidelity)," he said. A working group has been set up to conduct and coordinate control actions in the field with reporting and transparent sharing of data in real time. This working group's mission is to inform and assist taxpayers in the context of the implementation of the control procedure that will be exercised by them on the receipts and receipts issued by the tax administration. Launching the campaign, the Minister of Budget and State Portfolio, Moussa Sanogo revealed that some tax agents have issued false payment receipts causing losses for the State and abusing taxpayer confidence.
