As part of the process for the removal of Mauritius from the FATF grey list, the Mauritian court submitted Friday's date to the FATF officials.

The aim of this report is to report to FATF officials on the progress made by the court in eliminating the deficiencies in its financial system, which have so far not allowed it to align with the standards put in place by the FATF to ensure respect for the integrity of the international financial system. “This is a progress report,” said the Minister of Financial Services and Good Governance, Mahen Seeruttun. In exactly one month and 19 days, starting on 27 July, during this three-day inspection visit scheduled for 13 and 15 September, the mission of the FATF experts will be to verify on the spot whether the measures officially announced by the court in relation to what it has undertaken to correct the deficiencies noted in the means put in place to combat the two abovementioned scourges are being applied in practice. The Mauritian jurisdiction will initiate a a decisive step in the future of its financial services sector.
