On Thursday, July 22, 2021, the ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development (EBID) admitted to listing the bonds called “BIDC-EBID 6.50% – 2021-2028” under the symbol BIDC.O6. It was in collaboration with the Regional Stock Exchange (BRVM).

EBID has mandated the Consortium composed of the IMPAXIS Group, Coris Bourse and EDC Investment Corporation UEMOA (EIC) to raise funds of 240 billion FCFA with a first tranche of 50 billion FCFA. The first fixing took place on Wednesday at 9.30 a.m. at par with a symbolic transaction volume of 500,000 FCFA. This first tranche was approved by the Regional Council for Public Savings and Financial Markets (CREPMF) and authorized under visa No. EOP/21-01 for the issue of 5,000,000 bonds at a unit price of 10 000 FCFA. This loan will be amortized over a maturity of 7 years at a nominal interest rate of 6.50%/year. The listing ceremony officiated by the Coordinator of the Operations Vice-Presidency of EBID, Mr. MacDonald GOANUE, on behalf of the President, Dr. George DONKOR, marked the availability of the bonds "BIDC.O6" for free purchase and sale on the secondary market through authorized intermediaries. The operation was well received by the financial market and was a great success with investors through an oversubscription of 258% and a closing in less than 24 hours. It is part of the realization of the vision of support and collaboration with Member States in the creation of jobs, wealth and poverty reduction.
