The promotion of good governance is at the heart of the government's actions for an effective fight against corruption. During the ceremony marking the 5th edition of the African Anti-Corruption Day on July 9, at the Sofitel Abidjan Hotel Ivoire, the government reaffirms its determination to fight corruption.

The Ivorian authorities in charge of the fight against corruption traced the actions taken by the government to improve good governance. The African Anti-Corruption Day is celebrated every year on July 11 in Africa around the theme: "Regional Economic Communities: Key Actors in the Implementation of the African Union Convention on Preventing and Combating Corruption ". The Minister for the Promotion of Good Governance, Capacity Building and the Fight against Corruption, Epiphane Zoro Bi Ballo indicated that this vision must be perceptible through the pursuit of reforms, especially in terms of impunity, consolidation of good governance, public finance management. He therefore welcomed the first results of the audit commissioned by the government which led to the suspension of certain leaders. He also congratulated the High Authority for Good Governance for the development of a guide for the prevention and resolution of conflicts of interest.

The representative of Prime Minister Patrick Achi assured that the government has given itself the means to fight aggressively against corruption in all its forms. According to him, this will therefore translates into adherence to international mechanisms for the promotion of good governance and the fight against corruption, the strengthening of the institutional and legal mechanism for the prevention and fight against corruption and related offences, as well as through the ratification of instruments.
