The partial unemployment compensation scheme has barely been in place since March 25 when it has been attacked by fraudsters operating in networks. The entity responsible for combating economic and financial crime has sent 105 cases of possible fraud to the partial unemployment scheme to justice, for an overall damage of 27 million euros.

In its report for 2020, published on Wednesday July 7, the financial intelligence unit Tracfin reveals that "the most important frauds", last year, in terms of attack on public finances, hit the support mechanisms for the jobs and the economy put in place during the health crisis, made vulnerable by simplified access conditions. The entity responsible for combating economic and financial crime, public finance fraud and the financing of terrorism has sent 105 cases of possible fraud to the partial unemployment scheme to the courts, for an overall loss of 27 million euros and an average amount per file of 260,000 euros. Misappropriation of public money has also been brought to light on the solidarity fund launched by the State, the regions and the overseas communities for the most fragile companies, and on the system of loans guaranteed by the 'State.
