The theme of the event was: “Businesses in Africa: a new pact for recovery”.
Organized on July 1, 2021 in Paris in partnership with the newspaper L'Opinion, this event, placed under the high patronage of the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, brought together several hundred French and international economic operators and investors. On the occasion, the Prime Minister detailed the reform strategy designed to stimulate investment and improve the business climate put in place under the leadership of the Head of State, Faure Gnassingbé, President of the Togolese Republic. Returning to the challenges of recovery in a context of post-Covid-19 resilience, the Prime Minister launched an appeal to political and economic decision-makers. The outlook is good, but we will have to be vigilant and aware of the need to act together and in a coherent manner to respond to common challenges: reviving consumption, regulating exports, financing economies. A strong rebound in activity, estimated at 4.8%, is expected in 2021, under the combined effect of the global recovery and the achievements of the 2025 Government Roadmap
